Nana treated us all to the movie yesterday. We had a sporty day and all put on our "sports themed" shirts for a trip to Chik-fil-a for free chicken strips and then went to see The Longshots.
It was a very sweet and kid friendly movie that we all enjoyed. Maybe a tad slow in a few places and a couple of minor cuss words but overall really great. I loved the message that you have to have faith in yourself and attempt new things even when everyone is against you. It is based on the true story of Jasmine Plummer who, at the age of eleven, became the first female to play in the Pop Warner football tournament in its 56-year history. We are big fans of KeKe Palmer and highly recommend her movie Akeelah and the Bee.

Sounds like a good movie. I also liked Akelah and the Bee. I was the only girl football player on our 9th grade team, so I think I'd really enjoy the movie!
