This picture came to me by way of e-mail today. Cutter and Cambry are spending two weeks with my parents (and oh yes...I miss them). My mom said that Cutter has been fishing nonstop and doesn't give it up until almost midnight every night. He is seriously dedicated. He baits his own hooks (worms and minnows) and can take his fish off when he catches one. He even caught a turtle today. Cambry has been a good sport and is fishing too. Mom said she is obsessed with returning them to the water before they die...sounds just like her.

A Day to Celebrate

Father's Day is a day to reflect on how much we are blessed.

A reminder to be grateful that God has placed strong, thoughtful, kind, and hard working men in our lives to lead our families, to parent our children, to provide support and comfort.

I am thankful that I was given a Dad that is soft spoken, slow to anger, thoughtful, very easy going, and a jack of all trades. Growing up - I thought he could fix and build anything...I still do. He once built me from scratch a huge ant farm for a science project. It was spectacular. My biology teacher said she had never seen anything like it. I of course got a 100 and spent the entire day presenting my project to other classes. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond. He is the person that calls the hospital during a blizzard to transport nurses to and from the hospital because he has a 4-wheel drive.

I often hear a person describe their dad as stern and lacking in affection. I am so glad I grew up with hugs and kisses on a daily basis. I never spent one day guessing if I was loved.

Happy Father's Day

39 Years and Holding...

It is my birthday today. I really am 39 years old. I will probably be 39 next year and the next year and....well you get the picture. I thought I would give to you as a party favor (for visiting my blog on my special day) a little Random Jerilynn fact. You know your thrilled - try to contain your excitement. Ü

Fishing and Kayaking

Chesley was an expert kayaker. She kayaked all the way to Irbys (the hamburger place on the lake) with Nana. Cambry loved the kayak too! I caught this picture just as she was about to take a spill into Granbury lake.

We are visiting my parents this week and they have a place on the lake. The kids absolutely love coming here to visit. It is like their own mini-resort complete with two doting grandparents that are at their beck and call. Can we say "spoiled"!

Eagles Softball Camp

The girls are both participating in softball camp this week. They really enjoyed it today. It is important to mention that these will be the only photos taken - it is apparently NOT cool for your mom to show up at camp with a camera. I very very discretely took these two pictures.

A Twilight Sneak Peak

I have to admit that after seeing the New Moon movie trailer...I am over the top excited about that movie in November. It looks amazing. I am willing to bet money that it is better than the Twilight movie. I am seriously thinking about hosting a New Moon Movie party - the Internet is just full of cool ideas. It would almost be a "no brainer". I need a few people to remind me of this post in early November....hold me accountable. Here is the movie trailer if you haven't seen it. Plus, I don't think I ever posted a picture of one of Chesley's Christmas gifts this last year. I had her "twilighted" by a lady on Etsy. Weird gift...I know. You have to be a hardcore Twilight Addict to really understand the appeal.
