Chance took Cutter out of school on Thursday for a “real” hunting trip. It was to be his very first one and as you can see in the pictures…it was a success. I wish you all could have seen and heard the excitement in his little voice. He had his hunting clothes all laid out on the floor next to his hunting boots. He had his gun ready and his backpack packed with lunch and snacks. I am not sure how long it took him to fall asleep that night but he popped out of bed at 4:30 the next morning without a minutes hesitation. He ended up shooting this turkey all by himself with the shotgun that his Papa Check gave him. I am not sure who was more proud Cutter…or his Daddy!
This is the picture of Chance and the turkey that he shot a couple of weeks earlier. I can promise you – they are already talking about and planning their next hunting adventure!

That is so freakin' cute! I'm glad Chance got a boy to take hunting!!! I think your future involves lots of camouflage!!!!
Poor turkey! Lol! Way to go cutter!
Did you eat that thing for dinner?? With fixings and all?
He is growing up, girl. :)
no - not in the mood yet for the full turkey table - LOL! We just breasted it out - not sure how we are going to fix it yet. Yes, sadly....he is growing up way to fast. Ü

Amy - you are so funny. You know I would love you even if you never ever even took a peek at my blog. Ü
It is kind of fun to get behind...then it's like a chapter book. LOL
